Flight Compensation Fees — Lower Fees, Broader Coverage, You Keep More
SkyAid does not just charge less — we recover what competitors cannot. EU261, Montreal Convention, Brazil, Turkey, Thailand and 130+ countries. One claim, maximum recovery.
Why Our Fees Are Structured This Way
Our flight compensation fees reflect the work involved at each stage. Even with the law clearly on your side, airlines are not forced to pay quickly. Some cooperate within weeks. Others deliberately delay or ignore valid claims for months — sometimes years — hoping passengers will give up.
SkyAid’s goal is to resolve claims as fast as possible. We do not benefit from dragging cases out. But when an airline chooses not to engage, the work increases and our fee reflects that. The higher tiers exist so we can keep fighting on your behalf regardless of how difficult the airline makes it — including funding court proceedings entirely at our own risk.
We Cover More Regulations Than Anyone
Most competitors only handle EU261. SkyAid covers international air passenger rights wherever you fly.
This is our standard flight compensation fee for EU261 and UK261 claims where the airline cooperates and pays. It covers delayed flights, cancellations, denied boarding and missed connections on flights departing from or arriving in the EU/UK.
At 20%, this is the lowest starting fee in the industry. On a €600 claim, you keep €480. Most competitors charge 35% or more for the same work — meaning you would keep just €390.
The majority of our claims resolve at this stage. We submit your claim, handle all airline correspondence, negotiate the settlement and process payment. If the airline cooperates, the process is straightforward and our fee reflects that.
What Is Included
- AI-assisted claim submission and validation
- CPA-standard documentation audit
- All airline correspondence on your behalf
- Settlement negotiation
- Payment processing within 5 business days
This is the fee for all Montreal Convention claims and international framework claims (Brazil ANAC, Turkey SHY, Thailand DCA) from the outset — regardless of whether the airline cooperates or not.
Why these claims are 30%: A Montreal Convention claim is fundamentally different from a standard EU261 claim. It requires documenting and proving your actual financial losses — hotel receipts, lost wages, missed bookings, transport costs — and building a legal case under international treaty law. This is complex, specialist work.
Every single Montreal Convention case is handled by a dedicated specialist claims worker who reviews the documentation, assesses the legal merits and prepares the claim. Our AI tools handle the initial receipt processing, expense categorisation and multi-currency loss calculation, but a human specialist is always involved in the legal assessment and airline negotiation. This combination of AI efficiency and specialist expertise is what allows SkyAid to offer full Montreal Convention trip expense claims — most competitors either do not offer this at all or only handle it selectively for easy cases.
What Is Included
- Everything in Stage 1 Standard, plus:
- Dedicated specialist claims worker on every Montreal case
- AI-powered receipt reading and expense categorisation
- Multi-currency loss calculation
- Montreal Convention Article 19 legal assessment
- International air law expertise (Brazil ANAC, Turkey SHY, Thailand DCA)
- Specialist legal review before filing
How a Montreal Convention Claim Works at SkyAid
If your EU/UK claim started at 20% but the airline ignores the claim, refuses without valid grounds, or fails to substantively respond within 30 days, the claim escalates to Stage 2 at 30%.
At this stage, SkyAid deploys formal enforcement tools including GDPR Data Subject Access Requests and regulatory body referrals to compel the airline to engage with your claim. These are legally recognised mechanisms that require the airline to respond — and give our specialists the information needed to challenge any defence the airline puts forward.
Most competitors do not use these enforcement tools, which is why airlines sometimes ignore their claims indefinitely. When an airline receives a SkyAid enforcement filing, they know the claim is not going away.
Some airlines systematically reject valid claims, ignore legal correspondence and do everything they can to avoid paying. They are counting on passengers giving up.
With SkyAid, you do not have to. When an airline will not settle, we take them to court — at our expense. SkyAid funds the entire court process, appoints legal counsel on your behalf and manages the litigation from start to finish. You still pay nothing upfront.
The 50% fee reflects the significant cost and risk SkyAid takes on. Court proceedings involve filing fees, legal representation, evidence preparation and potentially months of process. We absorb all of this. If we lose, you owe nothing. If we win, the 50% fee covers both the claim work and the legal costs we fronted.
Most claims never reach this stage. But knowing it exists means airlines cannot simply wait you out.
What Is Included
- Everything in Stages 1 and 2, plus:
- All court filing fees funded by SkyAid
- Legal counsel appointed on your behalf
- Full litigation management
- Judgment enforcement
- You pay nothing unless we win
